I was so happy to read about Tunni. You see
I was also in a home where the
children teased and kicked me. When I tried
to defend myself, my owners
beat me with my hairbrush. It was horrible.
After two years, I finally
couldn't take any more abuse and nipped at
a child. They took me to a place
called a shelter and left me all alone in
a cement cell with bars and said
they'd be right back. They never came.
For two months I sat in that cell, being
visited only by a lady from the
English Springer Spaniel Rescue Association
(ESRA). She promised she'd find
someone to love me and care for me. Well,
one day, this man named Dennis
came into my cell and played with me. A week
later, he came back with his
wife, Mary, and took me home in his car. I
love riding in the car - I just
lay down on the seat and go to sleep.
Now I have a lovely house and play with Dennis,
Mary,and their son, Robert.
I have a special relationship with each one
and have never been hit or
punished again. I'm going to a doggie park
on Saturday - can't wait to play
with the other puppies. At night, I get to
swim in their spa and sleep on
their bed. It's so good to be loved.
